Pei Kau-zhi was a Terran citizen and an officer of the Terran Federation Navy.

Biography[]
As a Commander, he served as fire control officer aboard one of Admiral Ellen Thomas' ships-of-the-line in the Starfall System, and was among the survivors of the first devastating Gbaba attack on the Federation.
In 2421, Admiral Pei was in command of Task Force One, with the dreadnought TFNS Excalibur serving as his flagship. He and his crew executed Operation Breakaway, the military maneuver that made the Gbaba believe they had destroyed the colonial fleet used in Operation Ark. He died in the following battle, along with all the men under his command, including his close personal friend, Lieutenant Commander Nimue Alban.
