The House of Tayt[1] was the royal family of the Kingdom of Chisholm. (BSRA)
With the founding of the Charisian Empire, the House of Tayt was merged by marriage with the House of Ahrmahk, the royal family of Charis and Imperial house of the new empire. (HFAF)
It is not clear if Queen Ysbel was a Tayt. If she was not, the Tayts likely held the Duchy of Tayt prior to becoming the Chisolmian royal family; it was held at the time of the Holy War by Sharleyan's third cousin Sir Awstyn Tayt. (AST) The Duchy is also once mentioned as belonging to Sharleyan, but this seems to be an error. (MTAT)
